Description
Set above Samoëns with sweeping views across the valley and surrounding mountains, Chalet Nyika is a spacious four-bedroom family chalet for up to eight guests.
With an open fireplace, generous living spaces and a large private garden, it works particularly well for families or two households sharing a mountain holiday. Its elevated position in the peaceful hamlet of Vigny offers plenty of privacy and space, while Samoëns village and the Grand Massif Express are around 10 minutes away by car.
The ground-floor living and dining area forms the heart of the chalet, with comfortable seating around the open fireplace and doors opening directly onto the terrace and garden. The dining area comfortably seats eight, while large windows make the most of the views across the valley.
A separate snug, games room and office provides a second living space, with a small billiards table, board games, books and a desk. It is particularly useful for families sharing the chalet, whether as a children’s games room, somewhere to work quietly, or simply a second place to relax.

There are four bedrooms - two doubles and two twins - together with three bathrooms and an additional WC. The chalet is particularly comfortable for eight guests.
In summer, the beautiful private garden becomes one of Nyika’s greatest assets, with outdoor dining, a barbecue and wonderful views across the valley and mountains. A small stream runs alongside the garden, adding to the chalet’s peaceful mountain setting.
Private parking is available for two cars. A car is essential at Chalet Nyika, both for reaching Samoëns and the ski lifts and for making the most of the surrounding valley.

A car is essential at Chalet Nyika. The chalet is approximately 4.5km from Samoëns village and around 10 minutes by car from the Grand Massif Express. There is no ski bus serving the chalet.
During periods of heavy snowfall, the driveway and outdoor areas can become slippery. Guests travelling in winter should arrive with appropriate winter equipment and footwear.
The chalet has four bedrooms sleeping eight guests. A sofa bed in the snug can accommodate up to two additional guests by prior arrangement and subject to a supplement.
There is an exterior weather-monitoring camera facing the driveway. It has no recording capability and is switched off during guest stays. There are no cameras inside the chalet or in guest garden areas.

Location
Chalet Nyika sits in the peaceful hamlet of Vigny, above Samoëns, with far-reaching views across the valley and surrounding mountains. Its elevated setting gives the chalet a real sense of space and privacy, while Samoëns village and the Grand Massif Express remain around 10 minutes away by car.
In winter, the Grand Massif ski domain, boasts some of the best skiing in the world. Suitable for all levels, there is over 275km of piste to explore and plenty of off-piste for more advanced skiers. In the summer, this area is a hub for adventure sports such as hiking, mountain biking, climbing and paragliding.

Samoens Centre: 4.5km; Ski Lift: 5km (driving only); Geneva Airport: 80km (1hr 15); Paris: 600km (6hrs+); London: 1,000km (12hrs+)
A car is essential at this chalet. However for larger groups, or those with a scattered arrival time, you may additionally opt for a transfer service directly from Geneva Airport, which will take you directly to the chalet. For bookings between November – April, we recommend that you have a 4×4 or at the very least, snow chains in your car. The road is ploughed 2 – 3 times daily but it is always a good idea to arrive prepared for heavy snow conditions. if it snows heavily during the daytime. It is legal requirement in the French Alps to come equipped with snow chains that specifically fit you vehicle

Changeover day for the chalet is generally Sunday… However please ask us if you’d like a particular arrival day as we can sometimes be flexible
Security Deposit amount is €600 (or £600) – Payable by Bank Transfer before arrival
Rental payments can be paid in 2 instalments – a 30% deposit is required at the time of booking, the 70% balance will be due 60 days before arrival.
Pet Policy: We are dog-friendly and will consider up to 1 small/medium, well behaved & house trained dog at an extra charge of €100. We ask that all furry guests are kept out of bedrooms and prevented from climbing onto furniture. All dog litter should be removed from exterior spaces (garden, porch, patio and green spaces around the property). Pets must be declared at the time of booking, with details including age, breed, size and temperament.
