Lazy Labrador, Samoëns

When the owner of this chalet approached me about the redesign, the chalet was outdated, quite basic and lacked warmth and comfort. The brief was to update the chalet and modernise it but still retain the rustic charm that makes this quirky chalet special. We sourced antique and vintage pieces for lighting and wall art, built some furniture using local wood and used unconventional objects and repurposed them to create some unique features- such as the cattle feed headboard. The bathrooms were upgraded with new travertine tiles, modern chrome fixtures and fittings and a wet room was fitted in the master en-suite. The overall result of the project has been very successful and stands the test of time. It continues to attract tenants from all around the world in search of a truly rustic mountain experience in this beautiful hamlet above Samoëns.
