5 Bedroom Luxury chalet in Samoens, Grand Massif, Haute Savoie
Chalet Bonnefous is a recently renovated Samoens chalet with exceptional warmth and familial charm. The property is located in a quiet cul de sac, just a few minutes walk from the heart of the 13th Century Alpine village and very close to the ‘Grand Massif Express’ (GME) ski lift.
This family home is a glorious mix of modern day comforts and traditional old world style and provides accommodation for 11 (12) guests in 5 bedrooms, with 4 bathrooms.
The main reception area is on the first floor and flows through the whole length of the chalet. The space divides up into 3 and features an open fireplace, TV room/snug and a study area. These rooms have plenty of deep, comfortable sofas and chairs for ultimate comfort after a long day on the slopes. The Ground floor dining room is an elegant space to host elaborate dinners, setting the perfect scene for an evening of smoking hot fondue and glasses of crisp French white wines.
There are five entirely unique bedrooms, including a twin (or double) with television and ensuite bathroom, two further double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a Bunk bedroom sleeping 4 and one more single bedroom. We can also, upon request, set up a an extra single bed in the study.
There is a driveway for one car in front of the property and parking for a further 3 cars just outside.

Chalet Bonnefous is conveniently located in Samoens village and in close walking distance to the centre and moments away from the ‘Avenue des Loisirs’ ski bus stop to the high speed ‘GME’ lift connecting you to the Grand Massif ski domain, which boasts some of the best skiing in the world. Suitable for all levels, there is over 275km of piste to explore and plenty of off-piste for more advanced skiers. Simply step outside the door and you’ll be on a fantastic snow-shoeing/Nordic skiing route. In the summer, this house is a hub for adventure sports such as hiking, mountain biking, climbing and paragliding
Distance from Geneva Airport: Approximately 75km (1hr)
Distance from Paris (by road): Approximately 600km (6hrs+)
Distance from London (by road): Approximately 1,000km (12hrs+ including Eurotunnel)
By train: The nearest train station is the ‘Gare de Cluses’ (25 minutes drive away). However, you will need to organise transfers / rent your own car and snow chains as there is no public transport from the house.
Ski bus stop nr the chalet (‘Ligne Jaune’ from ‘Avenue des Loisirs’ – every 15 – 30 mins)
Greeting Service: Our in-resort partners, KPS, will be in direct touch with you in the weeks leading up to your arrival to assist with last-minute details and arrival plans. You will be met by one of the team who will make sure you are shown how everything works and answer any questions you may have about the area.
Those driving to the chalet should come prepared for heavy snow conditions. It is legal requirement in the French Alps to come equipped with snow chains that specifically fit you vehicle

Pet Policy: We are dog-friendly and can accept up to 2 small/medium, well behaved & house trained dogs at an extra charge of €50. We ask that all furry guests are kept out of bedrooms and prevented from climbing onto furniture. All dog litter should be removed from exterior spaces (garden, porch, patio and green spaces around the property)

Changeover day for the chalet is Sunday… However please ask if you’d like a different arrival day as we can sometimes be flexible
Security Deposit amount is €900 (or £900) – Payable by Bank Transfer before arrival or by French cheque on arrival
Rental payments can be paid in 2 instalments – a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, the 50% balance will be due 60 days before arrival.
